This notice explains how Strand Robotics Ltd (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through strandrobotics.com. We are the data controller for that information.

Who we are

Strand Robotics Ltd is registered in England & Wales under company number 17351460. Our registered office is 239b Baring Road, London SE12 0BE. You can contact us about privacy at contact@strandrobotics.com.

What we collect

When you use our contact form or email us, we collect your name, your organisation (if you give it), your email address and the content of your message. Like most websites, our hosting provider also records technical information such as IP addresses, browser type and pages visited, to keep the site secure and to produce anonymous visitor statistics.

How and why we use it

We use your contact details only to reply to your enquiry and to continue any conversation you start with us. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. If an enquiry leads to a contract, we may also process your information as necessary for that contract. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run the site and our email:

• Automattic (WordPress.com), which hosts this website and stores form submissions.
• Our email provider, which delivers enquiries to our inbox.
• Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces on this site. Your browser requests the fonts directly from Google, which receives your IP address.

Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless a longer period is needed for an ongoing business relationship or a legal obligation.

Cookies

Our hosting provider may set a small number of cookies that are needed for the site to work securely and to measure visits. We do not use advertising cookies.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@strandrobotics.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
